Lake Nakuru National Park is a renowned wildlife sanctuary located in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya, approximately 140 km northwest of Nairobi. Established in 1961, it covers an area of 188 square kilometers and is famous for its vast populations of flamingos, which can number up to two million at times. The park is also a sanctuary for black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffes, and offers sightings of lions, leopards, and over 450 bird species. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an important stopover for migratory birds.
